30 of these cars were produced in 1974 by a French industrialist from the Loire region, Mr Jean Tastevin. He hoped to produce a high prestige motor car in the spirit of the Facel-Vega of the previous decade. He named the car after his beloved wife.

The car on show is Mr. Tastevin's own. Now 90 years old, he will be present at the salon with his wife, with whom he is still very much in love, to sign the hefty tome entitled "Monica, voiture française de prestige" ("Monica, a prestige French car"), published by Fil Conducteur and launched at Rétromobile.
