Born in 1972, the Honda Civic is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The Honda Civic has been a familiar car for generations, and has left indelible memories. It's a car that's always been one step ahead of society's needs, and has helped build the reputation of the Honda brand in terms of customer satisfaction.
The outstanding career of this car is divided into nine generations.
The first generation Civic in 1972 used Compound Vortex Controlled Combustion (CVCC) technology for the first time, reducing harmful emissions and stealing a significant march on its rivals. 2.1 million were sold.
40 years later we are launching the ninth generation. The faithful heir of previous generations, it brings together all the refinement, modularity, originality and distinction of the Civic. In addition, every effort has been made to reduce emissions. The result is the unbeatable Civic 2.2 i-DTEC: 150 HP and only 110 grammes per kilometre!
